SRINIVAS BATTULA, M.D.
Dr. Srinivas Battula earned his medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in India, followed by residency in Psychiatry at University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Battula has been in practice since 1997. He has worked on various research projects and has earned several honors and awards throughout his medical career. Dr. Battula is board-certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse program at Alternative Behavioral Care.
SAAID KHOJASTEH, M.D.
Dr. Saaid Khojasteh received his medical degree from Shiraz University in Shiraz, Iran. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and has received board certifications in General Psychiatry as well as Adolesent and Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Khojasteh began his private practice in July of 1989. Since he entered private practice, he has served as Chief of Department of Psychiatry at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Chief of Psychiatry at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Medical Director of Adolescent Inpatient Program and Geriatric Psychiatric Partial Programs at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, and currently as Medical Director and Chief of Department of Psychiatry, St. Joseph Health Center in Wentzville and St. Charles, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine, all the while maintaining his private practice. He is the founder and President of Advent Medical Group.
While he enjoys the many challenges of his responsibilities, his true passion and the source of his drive stem from working with the community and families, helping to improve the understanding of mental illness, and promoting mental well-being especially in the geriatric and adolescent population. It is through his interface with community-based agencies and teaching and education that he believes his knowledge, expertise, and genuine love and respect for human beings and their mental health will make a major impact in the society.
Dr. Khojasteh is a recipient of numerous awards including the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award by National Alliance for Mentally Ill (NAMI), one of 18 such identified Psychiatrists nationwide; Pedro Suarez Memorial Award of Gault Foundation for excellence in community service in St. Charles County, Champion of Older Americans Award by SSM Healthcare System of St. Louis for his genuine commitment to the well being of geriatric adults, Honored Physician of the Year by the SSM St. Joseph Health Center Century Club, and the Mortimer Gordon Award by NAMI, St. Louis Chapter, for his sincere efforts and unwavering commitment to improving the understanding of mental illness and promoting mental health in this area. CHINYA K. MURALI, M.D.
Dr. Chinya Murali obtained his medical degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in India followed by residency in Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in India and residency in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, IL. He completed his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis.
Dr. Murali is board-certified in General Psychiatry as well as Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, and the Missouri Psychiatric Society.
Dr. Murali has been in practice since 1999.
FERNANDO R. PEREZ, M.D.
Dr. Fernando Perez received his medical degree from the National University of Cuyo in Argentina, followed by his residency in Internal Medicine. He practiced as a Cardiologist and Emergency Room physician for several years before pursuing his interest in Psychiatry in the U.S. He completed his residency in Psychiatry, and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Perez has been practicing psychiatry since 1994. He practiced Child and Adult Psychiatry in Mexico, Missouri at the Arthur Center and Audrain Medical Center between 2000 and 2010; assuming the positions of Medical Director at the Arthur Center and Chief of Psychiatry at Audrain Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director for the Child and Adolescent Program at Alternative Behavioral Care and sees patients at Alternative Behavioral Care’s Suboxone Clinic. Dr. Perez is also on active staff as a Child Psychiatrist at DePaul Health Center. He has extensive research and teaching experience at the University of Missouri – Columbia, School of Medicine, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and A.T. Still University. Dr. Perez has also authored several abstracts and publications.
Dr. Perez is board-certified in Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Central Missouri Psychiatry Society.
PAUL B. SIMON, D.O.
Dr. Paul Simon received his degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and his master’s of social science administration from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He also obtained his degree in psychology from Ohio University. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Simon is board-certified in General Psychiatry and has been in practice since 2009. He is a member of the Missouri Psychiatric Society.
THRIPURA THIRTALA, M.D.
Dr. Thripura Thirtala received her medical degree from Alluri Sita Rama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences in India. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
Her practice is focused on patients 12 years and older, treating ADHD, depression, mood disorders, bi-polar disorder, generalized anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and panic disorders.In addition to practicing in general Psychiatry, Dr. Thirtala has specific interests in treating adolescent and substance abuse populations.
Dr. Thirtala is board eligible in General Psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and the American Association of physicians of Indian origin.
WILLIAM W. WANG, M.D., PhD
Dr. William (Bill) Wang received his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University, in Shanghai, China, and his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and his IRTA fellowship in Molecular Neuropsychiatry at NIMH in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Wang has been in practice since 2002 and has been involved in numerous research projects. He has authored several books, articles, abstracts and publications in the fields of psychiatry, and neuroscience and neurology. Dr. Wang is the recipient of many honors and awards in the U.S. and internationally.
J. ANDREW ADAMS, PMHNP-BC
Andrew Adams practices a holistic approach to mental wellness including brief therapy and psycho-pharmacologic management. Andrew’s clinical interest cover ages 12 and above, and include LGBT mental health disparities.
Andrew completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013, and his Master’s Degree in Nursing from Saint Louis University in 2018. He obtained his board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society, Alpha Lambda Epsilon, graduate honor society and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
Andrew has worked in psychiatric nursing since 2013. While a graduate student, Andrew was an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Saint Louis University for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing clinical from August 2017 through December 2018.
ANN BIDDY, PMHNP-BC
Ann achieved a long term goal when she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017 from Brandman University, Irvine, CA. Ann is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University.
Ann practices general psychiatry, including the treatment of depression, mood disorders, anxiety and ADHD to all ages with an emphasis on the geriatric population.
Ann Biddy has cared for people struggling with mental health and wellness since 1984. She has worked as a nurse in hospitals, outpatient clinics, in home health care and as a clinical educator within the pharmaceutical industry.
CASSIDY CHAPMAN, PMHNP-BC
Cassidy Chapman is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, accredited through the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2017 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University and Research College of Nursing, cum laude, in 2014. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Cassidy practices general psychiatry, including the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders to all ages, with an emphasis on the adult population.
Cassidy has worked at the University of Kansas Hospital in the hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplant units. In addition, Cassidy has experience in hospice care working as a case manager. In graduate school, Cassidy performed psychiatric consultations for patients on medical units in the hospital and spent extensive time assisting the psychiatrist of a fully implemented Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program.
STEPHANIE HOUIN, PMHNP-BC
Stephanie is an ANCC certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master’s Degree from Saint Louis University in 2017 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010 from Purdue University in West Lafeyette, IN.
Stephanie practices general psychiatry, including the treatment of depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD to all ages with an emphasis on the adult population.
Stephanie has worked as a psychiatric nurse in multiple facilities in the St. Louis area prior to completing her nurse practitioner degree; including Hyland Behavioral Health, CenterPointe Hospital, St. Louis Psychiatric Stabilization Center, and St. Vincent’s DePaul Hospital on adult and geriatric mental health units.
KELLEY JOHNSON, CPNP, PMHS
Kelley Johnson is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care and Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2005, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2012.
Kelley practices general psychiatry with patients as young as preschool age through age 20, treating and working with a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders and ADD/ADHD.
Prior to obtaining her mental health certification in May of 2017, she completed a fellowship in child and adolescent mental health through the University of Ohio College of Nursing. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital from 2013-2014 before transitioning to a primary care office where she worked for over 5 years, with a special interest in mental and behavioral health and medication management.
ELIZABETH JUDD, CPNP, PMHS
Elizabeth Judd is a board-certified Mental Health Specialist and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her master’s in nursing from Saint Louis University, summa cum laude in 2004, and completed her bachelor of science in nursing from Washington University in St. Louis, magna cum laude in 1997.
Elizabeth has 17 years experience in psychiatry. She functioned as a full-time clinician and director of Knights of Columbus Developmental/Behavioral Center for 8 years, as well as the department of Psychiatry at Washington University for 7 years. She has extensive experience in treating children, adolescent and young adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, eating disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Elizabeth has received numerous awards and recognition for her expertise, passion, and dedication to her patients. She is currently accepting new patients ages 5 – 50 years old at our St. Peter’s and Kirkwood locations.
RACHEL KRANZ, PMHNP-BC
Rachel Kranz is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri in 2018, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois in 2013.
Rachel practices provides treatment to children, adolescent and adults with depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and a variety of other mental conditions. She practices in St. Peters as well as on the adolescent unit at SSM St. Joseph Health Center-Wentzville.
Rachel has worked at Hyland Behavioral Health Center, St. Louis and St. Joseph Health Center-Wentzville on the Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit.
ENOS K. (EJ) MOSS, JR., RN, MSN, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Enos is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Maryville University – St. Louis in 2001, and obtained his Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University – St. Louis in 2011. In 2016, he received his post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati.
Enos practices with a holistic approach and works with patients from ages 12 and up, treating and working with a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, limited substance use disorders, and ADD/ADHD. Brief therapy and psychopharmacotherapy are also included.
Prior to becoming an advanced practice nurse, Enos worked in various clinical roles in Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, Corizon (formerly Correctional Medical Services), St. Louis Metropolitan Psychiatric Center, and Mercy Hospital – St. Louis. During his tenure at Mercy Hospital he worked with middle and high school aged adolescents at the Mercy Edgewood Intensive Outpatient Program and patients at the Adult Psychiatry clinic.
NAN ROBERTS, PMHCNS-BC, MSN
Nan Roberts received her Master’s of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from SIU at Edwardsville in 1994.
Nan is board-certified by the ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has practiced psychiatry since 1978. In 1995 she began her work in the private practice setting. Nan has extensive experience in research and managing pharmaceutical studies. Her present practice focuses on patients 18 years old and above, providing brief therapy and psychopharmacologic management.
