SRINIVAS BATTULA, M.D.
Dr. Srinivas Battula earned his medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in India, followed by residency in Psychiatry at University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Battula has been in practice since 1997. He has worked on various research projects and has earned several honors and awards throughout his medical career. Dr. Battula is board-certified in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse program at Alternative Behavioral Care.
HEATHER HILL, MD
Dr. Heather Hill received her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hill is board-certified in Psychiatry and has been in practice since 2006. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. In her practice, she encourages patients and their families to be well informed about their diagnoses and treatment options, and to be active participants in treatment decisions to offer them the best overall mental and general well-being
SAAID KHOJASTEH, M.D.
Dr. Saaid Khojasteh received his medical degree from Shiraz University in Shiraz, Iran. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and has received board certifications in General Psychiatry as well as Adolesent and Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Khojasteh began his private practice in July of 1989. Since he entered private practice, he has served as Chief of Department of Psychiatry at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Chief of Psychiatry at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Medical Director of Adolescent Inpatient Program and Geriatric Psychiatric Partial Programs at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, and currently as Medical Director and Chief of Department of Psychiatry, St. Joseph Health Center in Wentzville and St. Charles, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine, all the while maintaining his private practice. He is the founder and President of Advent Medical Group.
While he enjoys the many challenges of his responsibilities, his true passion and the source of his drive stem from working with the community and families, helping to improve the understanding of mental illness, and promoting mental well-being especially in the geriatric and adolescent population. It is through his interface with community-based agencies and teaching and education that he believes his knowledge, expertise, and genuine love and respect for human beings and their mental health will make a major impact in the society.

JYOTHI MANDAVA, M.D.
Dr. Jyothi Mandava received her medical degree from M.R. Medical College, in Gulbarga, India, and completed her residency training in Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Mandava is a board-certified Psychiatrist who began her career in 2002 on the faculty of Washington University, teaching medical residents and students while she simultaneously built her private practice. In 2003, she began her private practice full time.
Her practice is focused on patients 18 years and older and specializes in women’s issues, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, bi-polar disorder, generalized anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and panic disorders.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Eastern Missouri Psychiatric Association, and the American Medical Association.
CHINYA K. MURALI, M.D.
Dr. Chinya Murali obtained his medical degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in India followed by residency in Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in India and residency in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, IL. He completed his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis.
Dr. Murali is board-certified in General Psychiatry as well as Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, and the Missouri Psychiatric Society.
Dr. Murali has been in practice since 1999.
FERNANDO R. PEREZ, M.D.
Dr. Fernando Perez received his medical degree from the National University of Cuyo in Argentina, followed by his residency in Internal Medicine. He practiced as a Cardiologist and Emergency Room physician for several years before pursuing his interest in Psychiatry in the U.S. He completed his residency in Psychiatry, and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Perez has been practicing psychiatry since 1994. He practiced Child and Adult Psychiatry in Mexico, Missouri at the Arthur Center and Audrain Medical Center between 2000 and 2010; assuming the positions of Medical Director at the Arthur Center and Chief of Psychiatry at Audrain Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director for the Child and Adolescent Program at Alternative Behavioral Care and sees patients at Alternative Behavioral Care’s Suboxone Clinic. Dr. Perez is also on active staff as a Child Psychiatrist at DePaul Health Center. He has extensive research and teaching experience at the University of Missouri – Columbia, School of Medicine, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and A.T. Still University. Dr. Perez has also authored several abstracts and publications.
Dr. Perez is board-certified in Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Central Missouri Psychiatry Society.
MEHRZAD SERAJI, M.D.
Dr. Mehrzad Seraji received her medical degree and then went on to complete her residency at Iran University of Medical Sciences. While still in Iran, she practiced Psychiatry for several years. Dr. Seraji also has extensive teaching and research experience, with specific interests in marital counseling, couples therapy, sexual disorders and treatment, as well as Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Seraji began private practice in 2015, after completing a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry and residency in Psychiatry at St. Louis University. She is board-certified in Psychiatry, as well as, board eligible in Geriatric Psychiatry in 2016. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association. She is the Medical Director of the Women’s program at Alternative Behavioral Care.
PAUL B. SIMON, D.O.
Dr. Paul Simon received his degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and his Master’s of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He also obtained his degree in Psychology from Ohio University. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Simon is board-certified in General Psychiatry and has been in practice since 2009. He is a member of the Missouri Psychiatric Society.
THRIPURA THIRTALA, M.D.
Dr. Thripura Thirtala received her medical degree from Alluri Sita Rama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences in India. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. In addition to practicing in general Adult Psychiatry, Dr. Thirtala has specific interests in treating adolescent and substance abuse populations.
Dr. Thirtala is board eligible in General Psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and the American Association of physicians of Indian origin.
WILLIAM W. WANG, M.D., PhD
Dr. William (Bill) Wang received his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University, in Shanghai, China, and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and his IRTA fellowship in Molecular Neuropsychiatry at NIMH in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Wang has been in practice since 2002 and has been involved in numerous research projects. He has authored several books, articles, abstracts and publications in the fields of psychiatry, and neuroscience and neurology. Dr. Wang is the recipient of many honors and awards in the U.S. and internationally.
NAN ROBERTS, PMHCNS-BC, MSN
Nan Roberts received her Master’s of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from SIU at Edwardsville in 1994.
Nan is board-certified by the ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. She has practiced psychiatry since 1978. In 1995 she began her work in the private practice setting. Nan has extensive experience in research and managing pharmaceutical studies. Her present practice focuses on patients 18 years old and above, providing brief therapy and psychopharmacologic management.
